Shop Now on our Facebook Fan Page
Guess what??? We finally have an online storefront. Many shoppers have asked and we have listened. Facebook has really made this simple for everyone. Check it out and let me know what you think. We are very excited to share Lulu with you all year-round from the comfort of your own living room. Well, I say living room because that's where I shop: laptop on my lap, TV on, feet up and a nice, big ice water. Shop Now!

Love the sun, afraid of the suit
I wait all year, from the last swim in the lake until the first, for Summer. It is my favorite season and I realize without the other 3 my appreciation would probably not be so great. Nonetheless, I love it! But, the older I get the harder and more daunting it seems to put on a bathing suit. When I was a kid, we lived across the street from the neighborhood pool and I would sleep in my swim team uniform, a green speedo, to be ready for my busy day. I slipped on flip-flops(we still called them thongs back then), threw my towel around my neck and made the journey to the pool. Pretty sure I spent all day there until I got hungry or the street lights came on, whichever came first.
Then, we moved to Lake Chelan when I was 12 and I still recall the urgency to get on a suit and head to the water. And, in all those years and places I never remember feeling insecure about being half-naked. Jump ahead to current times and WOW, what a difference.
I force myself to have an "I don't care" kind of attitude but that's only reflected on the outside. On the inside, I am insecure and shameful. Does this insecurity really stem from TV and magazines? I don't know. How much is nature and how much in nurture? And, will I reach a point in my life where I REALLY won't care??? Do other women feel this way?
The bottom line is, I'm still gonna wear my bathing suit and embrace all Summer has to offer...water, sun and fun. If ever I reach my goal of a true bikini body I will all too proudly post a photo to brag. Until then, you can find me in the lake from May-September, cellulite and all:)

Market Tuesday
I went to an Apparel Show today to buy Spring/Summer for the store and was alarmed by a scary realization. I am older than I think. Albeit, I still believe age is a state of mind and I still continue to choose youth. However, I recall my parents laughing at styles I wore in High School because they were revivals of styles they had worn. I always thought they were silly and soooo old. Well, today I was doing the same thing and it dawned on me that I have lived long enough to see styles come full circle. The question I kept pondering as I looked at clothes out of a Billy Idol video was, "Can I wear this again and is that OK to relive my youth through fashion?". At what point are we hanging on to the past versus moving forward into our futures?
I'm still undecided but leaning towards some sort of happy medium. Maybe I can wear the slightly acid washed denim but skip the bubble skirt. Either way, this confusion in my head makes buying for the store difficult. Do my friends and customers feel the same way or am I just being a stick-in-the-mud? We shall see come April and the new items come flowing in the doors of Lulu and see which acid washed jeans go first!

Love Yourself Brunch
It's easy to get busy with life and not take time for yourself. I find myself going, going, going until all I have the energy to do for myself in NOTHING. Stay home and never get out of PJ's or close the blinds and watch a movie. While that might be fine sometimes, it feels better to open the blinds wide open, get out and enjoy life. That's why we're having a relaxing yet fun brunch at Andante's. The Super Bowl is on later that day and whether you are planning on watching or not, we thought a little girl time was in order and a great way to start the week and the month! So, Love Yourself!!!Lulu Boutique is teaming up with Rosewood Health Spa to bring you new treats, freebies and great deals. Lulu will be having a Valentine's Day inspired Fashion Show featuring PJ Salvage Sleepwear and colorful winter apparel. I think we all need some color with this extra grey winter we are having! Rosewood Health Spa will be doing FREE Eyebrow Sugaring, the latest trend in hair removal, and Skin Analysis with recommendations. They also do women's health care, Botox, Juvaderm, Latisse and much more! Also, bring your own make-up and learn a new way to wear it...we all need a fresh look sometimes. Get to know the girls at Rosewood.
Amelia Kelly will be there with the Spring jewelry line of Stella & Dot. If you made the trunk show before Holiday, you know how great the pieces are. Spring is GREAT!
And, the bestest deal of the day.........6 styles of True Religion and Rock & Republic jeans all for $80!!!! Yep, that's right. You can't beat that price and they are super cute.
Andante's will be hosting a buffet style brunch and Mimosas...yum. Show up anytime from 11-2 and hang with the girls, maybe even meet a few new ones:) It's going to be fun and casual so don't feel pressure to do anything but enjoy yourself. We look forward to seeing you.
